Omnisafe
was engaged to conduct a number of ICAM (Incident Cause Analysis Method)
investigations within the energy storage sector, where subject-matter expertise
in the technology and its associated hazards was essential. Several of the
contractors involved did not have the internal HSE resources or specialist
knowledge required to complete a full, in-depth ICAM investigation to the
standard expected by regulators and the Client.

stepped in as an independent content expert, leading the investigations from
initiation through to root cause analysis and corrective action reporting.
Alongside the investigation work, Omnisafe provided consultation and
representation on the contractor's behalf in discussions with the regulator,
ensuring findings were communicated clearly, credibly and in line with
regulatory expectations.
This
engagement gave contractors without in-house ICAM capability access to
specialist investigation expertise exactly when it was needed most, protecting
both their regulatory standing and their relationship with the principal
contractor.
